Labconco Rapid Digestors provide rapid digestions for nitrogen determination of 1 to 25 samples up to 2 grams using 250 mL tubes. Constructed of individual ceramic heaters surrounded by 1" thick insulation board housed in chemically-etched aluminum casing. A heater element is encapsulated in each heater module. An RTD platinum temperature sensor is encased in the ceramic and sends signals to the controller. Capable of reaching 410° C in less than one hour. Separate controller has power switch and a solid-state, stepless temperature control knob, factory calibrated from ambient to 450° C, with triac control of ±0.5% over entire operating range. Features a 6-foot electrical cord with plug and electrical lines to connect the digestor to the controller. Includes carrier rack made of aluminum alloy with two plastic handles and two removable heat shields. Requires 250 mL Digestion Tubes and fume removal system (not included). The RapidStill II (N1196) is the perfect companion to the Rapid Digestor. Operation inside a fume hood is strongly recommended.
