The L-K Industries E-4-12-TH LP Gas Corrosion Test Cylinder Heater is used to prepare samples for the ASTM and NGPA copper strip corrosion testing of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). All units are certified for Class I, Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D Hazardous and Ordinary Locations. Due to these certifications, the unit requires hard-wiring. It is designed specially to pair with the L-K Industries LP Gas Corrosion Test Cylinder in laboratory settings. This dry block heater has a resistive heating element with RTD temperature feedback to a temperature controller (digital display). The resistive heating element is controlled by a solid-state relay, which allows the temperature controller to fail “OFF” if a signal is lost and prevents runaway heating. The E-4 series is explosion proof and uses a solid aluminum block to uniformly transfer heat to stainless-steel cylinders. The unit is available in 12VDC or 110VAC configurations. Accepts 4-standard type test bombs. Explosion-resistant, thermostatically controlled to maintain heat at 100° F as per ASTM D-130. Portable (12 Volts) or Benchtop (115V) models.
