The Gel-Cutter's edge allows for easy cutting and removal of gel material. Gel-Scooper, made of strong acrylic with a beveled edge, is designed for easy transfer of gels from electrophoresis equipment to viewing equipment. Gel-Trays (in two sizes), made of UV transmitting plexiglas, can be used for moving gels to the transilluminator. The tray protects the transilluminator's filter surface from scratches. Side panels on the Gel-Tray are angled at a 45 degree bend and extend upward from the tray surface for easy handling.

High performance 25-watt UV tubes for high fluorescence and sensitivity on stained gels. Stainless steel cover frame provides for easy cleaning and reduces contamination of samples. Uniform, brilliant back-lit fluorescence illumination is enhanced with UVP's unique background uniformity screen and UVG long-life filter. Uniformity screen is available on units with midrange or longwave UV. The transilluminator's powerful cooling fan maintains a low filter surface temperature to avoid sample damage and maintains a constant UV intensity.

The EL Series ultraviolet lamps are manufactured with a durable, extruded-design metal housing and scratch resistant powder paint. Basic configuration offers one UV and one white light tube -- the advantage of white light or UV illumination from one unit. Use white light when working with materials in a dimly-lit area. Selected models use two tubes of the same wavelength or the 2UV™ Models use two different wavelengths. The 3UV Model™ available only in the eight watt lamp gives three wavelengths in one lamp. No other lamp offers this versatility.

The compact HC-3000 Hybricycler™ Oven by UVP® features precision controlled operation and temperature uniformity. High quality sealed acrylic construction provides β radiation shielding. An innovative wrap-around chamber gives full visibility of bottles placed in the durable acrylic bottle carousel. The carousel rests on rollers for steady rotation at 11rpm. It also fits four 35 x 300mm, eight 35 x 150mm or eight mini bottles or the carousel is removable to fit larger bottles. Spills are directed in to a pull-out tray for easy cleaning.

The HB-1000 Hybridizer is a cost-effective, high-performance hybridization oven with state-of-the-art microprocessor temperature control (ambient to 99.9°C), variable speed controls (10 to 18 RPM) and a large LED display. Hybridization ovens are rapidly replacing plastic bags and water baths for procedures involved in Southern, Northern and in-situ hybridization. The new HM-4000 Multidizer™ hybridization oven is designed with a variety of motion options. Two compartments allow for hybridization and blotting procedures requiring different settings. Each section operates independently for multi-function operation. The lower chamber's operating features are listed below in the specification chart. The upper chamber operates with a roller action to operate a shaker tray (included) or an optional orbital tray for accommodating a variety of container sizes. An optional acrylic carousel is also available to accommodate the use of bottles in the chamber.

The innovative HL-2000 Hybrilinker™ (patent pending) combines the HB-1000 Hybridizer Oven (see Cat. No OV110) with a 254nm UV-crosslinker in one self-contained unit. Unique design allows for crossslinking and hybridization at one location. The hybridizer and crosslinker portions have separate power supplies and can operate independently of one another. Use the optional rocker plate in the hybridization oven. The UV-crosslinker portion of the system provides an extremely uniform shortwave radiation exposure chamber for bonding nucleic acid to a medium, typically done before hybridization.

The DigiDoc-It System is a digital imaging system designed for low cost image acquisition and documentation of gels, plates and membranes. This economical system combines a 4.1 megapixel digital color camera housed in the top of a compact enclosure with sample viewer and an easy access door. High quality images with low light capability with multiple image resolution settings. DigiDoc-It software enables acquisition, complete camera control, enhancement, annotation and archiving of digital images for publication or quantitative analysis.
