Copper corrosion test strips are used when performing ASTM D-130 test with Copper Corrosion Test Bombs. P2860-1 (70-S) is sanded smooth on all sides, ready for final polishing and cleaning. P2860-2 is unsanded. These copper corrosion test strips come with a pre-drilled hole in the end for hanging in the corrosion test bomb cylinder.

For copper strip corrosion test on liquefied petroleum gases. ASTM D-1838, also GPA Method as per Bulletin 2140. MGM Model 46C. Cylinder is made entirely of polished stainless steel, with O-ring seal for hand tightening. Each cylinder is tested at 3000 PSI. Equipped with two stainless steel needle valves with O-ring packing and ¼" NPT male pipe thread to accommodate flexible connecting hose (filling connections). Use only flexible connecting hose with sulfur free plastic lining and stainless steel fittings.

Copper Corrosion Test Cylinder, ASTM D-130. For detection of the copper corrosiveness of aviation gasoline, automotive gasoline, farm tractor fuel, cleaners such as Stoddard solvent, diesel fuel, fuel oil, etc. The cylinder is made of highly polished stainless steel, with O-ring seal for hand tightening. Each cylinder is subjected to a hydrostatic test of 500 lbs. Do Not Use Thread Compound. Do not use this cylinder for testing Liquefied Petroleum Gases (see P2840).

Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) Cylinder for ASTM D-323, Fed. Spec. Method 1201.4 and CNGA Method. Model 2B (pressure type) is used for testing samples that are handled at greater than atmospheric pressure. Same construction as P4120, except that a needle valve is installed in the bottom chamber and a stainless steel plug valve is interposed between the upper and lower chambers. This plug valve has no metal-to-metal contacts between moving parts, as all seals are made with synthetic rubber O-rings.

Reid Vapor Pressure Cylinder (RVP), Stainless Steel. ASTM D-323, Fed. Spec. Method 1201.4. MGM Model 1B (non-pressure type) for testing samples that can be handled at atmospheric pressures. All metal parts made of stainless steel and joints are welded with stainless steel. Seal is accomplished with synthetic rubber O-rings, with no metal-to-metal seals. All chambers and removable parts are interchangeable with other 1B cylinders or with other 2B cylinders. Chamber heads are tapered inside to allow quick drainage. Each cylinder is tested to 1000 lbs. hydrostatic pressure.

The No. 19 series MGM Stainless Steel Needle Valves are designed for use in laboratory or other applications where fluid transfer is required. They are ruggedly built for severe environments of up 350° F and 1800 psig. Valves have 1/4” male or female pipe threads to mate with new or existing fittings or equipment. Full flow valves have a large hole through the body for fast flow where close control is not necessary. Fine flow valves have a small hole through the body for close control.
