Accurately monitor temperatures in freezers, water baths, heating blocks, incubators, and refrigerators with this enclosed temperature-buffered sensor. Bottle insulates sensor from rapid temperature changes when refrigerator door is opened. Thermometer fulfils all CDC thermometer and vaccine thermometer requirements. Triple display simultaneously shows minimum/maximum, and current temperatures. MIN/MAX monitors high/low readings overnight, on weekends, or for any time period—a significant advantage over current reading-only glass thermometers.

Indicating DRIERITE is impregnated with cobalt chloride. Indicating DRIERITE is blue when dry and changes to pink upon absorption of moisture. The color change is pronounced and clearly visible. This makes Indicating DRIERITE valuable when it is necessary to know with certainty that dryness is being maintained and to signal when the drying agent should be replaced. It has the same efficiency as Regular DRIERITE, and somewhat greater capacity due to the desiccating effect of the cobalt chloride. Contents: 97% CaS04, 3% CoCl2.

Non-Indicating Drierite is anhydrous calcium sulfate. It is of neutral pH, constant in volume, chemically inert except toward water, insoluble in organic liquids and refrigerants, non-disintegrating, non-wetting, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-channeling, generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA, not regulated by OSHA, economical to use, and can be regenerated repeatedly for reuse. Typical analysis >99.5% CaS04.

The Gel-Cutter's edge allows for easy cutting and removal of gel material. Gel-Scooper, made of strong acrylic with a beveled edge, is designed for easy transfer of gels from electrophoresis equipment to viewing equipment. Gel-Trays (in two sizes), made of UV transmitting plexiglas, can be used for moving gels to the transilluminator. The tray protects the transilluminator's filter surface from scratches. Side panels on the Gel-Tray are angled at a 45 degree bend and extend upward from the tray surface for easy handling.

These fixing trays allow the user to drain the fixing solution and then place filter paper on top of the gel while it rests in the tray. In addition, the solution is recoverable for subsequent reuse. The trays are also useful in electrophoresis gel de-staining. These virtually unbreakable, heavy polyethylene trays are 6.4mm (¼") thick with a top stiffening flange and 5 ribs in the bottom to raise the gel and plates. Extraction of the plates is aided by 9.5mm (⅜") square ridges that run lengthwise holding the plate off the tray.

Alundum extraction thimbles are for all kinds of extractions, except strong alkalis. They remain constant in weight. Extracted residue can be removed by ignition. Alundum material will withstand temperatures up to 1450° C. The 70 x 25mm thimble (E1600-4) is used in ASTM D473 test for fuel oil sediment by extraction.

Whatman 3-Piece filtering funnels are quickly dismantled and ready for the insertion of new filters. The glass sealing flanges of the funnel and reservoir are ground flat to ensure a good filter seal. All retained solids are deposited within the filter circle. The edge clamping prevents peripheral loss and possible passage of solution around, rather than through, the filter circle. The parts can be quickly and efficiently cleaned because of the simplicity of design. For quick and easy filtration, Whatman 3-Piece filter funnels are available with a choice of three plates.
