Syringes

The Hamilton 700 Series Microliter® syringes have been acclaimed as the standard measuring device throughout the world for precise liquid deliveries. These syringes are accurate to 1% of their total volume. This accuracy is the result of extremely close tolerances between the stainless steel plunger and the controlled, inner-diameter, borosilicate, glass barrel. The plunger of each syringe is individually handlapped to its barrel, essentially providing a matched plunger and glass barrel set.

Hamilton Microliter 600 Series Syringes are a half stroke version of the original 700 series syringes. This series of syringes is ideal for dispensing volumes from 0.25 μL up to 5 μL. The 600 series is often used in applications that require one handed operation because of the short stroke length and the reinforced plunger.

Hamilton Heated Syringe Cleaners are designed to clean 7000 Series Modified Microliter syringes with only heat (370°C) or to remove suspected residuals by adding a vacuum source (0.1 mm mercury). Microliter and Gastight syringes may also be cleaned when a voltage rheostat is added to reduce the chamber temperature to 50°C. The Syringe Cleaner is not effective on frozen plungers or plugged needles. Syringe Cleaners are available in 120 and 220VAC.

The CR700 Constant Rate Syringes have preset volumes that can be dispensed at a constant flow rate. The volume is adjustable with a precise adjustable micrometer screw. The adjusted volume can be fixed with a locking ring. Reproducible injection speed is obtained by means of a spring. The sample is delivered by pressing the push button. All of these features make the syringe easy to use. Typical applications include carbon analysis and analysis of waste water.

Hamilton Gastight Super Syringes for Air and Gas Sampling are used for air sampling, preparing gas standards, or calibrating reservoirs and pneumographs. The Super Syringe is accurate to 1% of its total volume. The syringe is pressure rated to 30 psig. The PTFE luer lock (TLL) model accepts a variety of Hamilton stainless steel needles, fittings, valves, adapters, and PTFE tube assemblies. The tracheal model accepts soft flexible tubing with a 5/8" ID. The Super Syringe is made of a clear acrylic material.

Hamilton 7000 Series Special Autosampler Syringes for Agilent and Jade™ Injectors are designed specifically to fit Agilent autosamplers and JADE™ injection valves. The syringes have total volumes of 0.5µl and 1µl. Entire sample is held in the stainless steel needle for positive displacement. Tungtsten plunger wire travels inside the needle, dispensing 100% of the sample. The RN hub tightens against a sealing ferrule to ensure injection pressures up to 6000 psig. A black, PTFE coated plunger sleeve makes easy reading of the exact volume.

Hamilton 700 Series Microliter™ Carbon Analyzer Syringes incorporate a special luer tapered hub cemented over a 700 series syringe. It is used in conjunction with total organic carbon analyzers to monitor waste water and environmentally sensitive water resources. Syringe parts in contact with sample are borosilicate glass, 302 stainless steel plunger, and 304 stainless steel needle. Capacities are available in 50µl, 100µl, and 250µl.

Reading graduations is always a challenge. The Hamilton Digital Syringe eliminates parallax errors by providing a digital readout on its integrated LCD screen. An adjustable plunger-stop guarantees reproducible plunger placement. Easily achieve precision up to 0.5%. Every Digital Syringe is a calibrated device traceable to N.I.S.T. methods. Use it to calibrate analytical instruments (AA/ICP, GC, HPLC, etc.), prepare standards and spike samples.

Hamilton 7000 Series Microliter Syringes with Knurled Hub are considered modified Microliter syringes for their unique design. This series of syringes is ideal for dispensing volumes from 0.05 μL up to 5 μL. The 7000 series is the only zero dead volume syringe. The fine gauge plunger wire travels to the tip of the needle ensuring that all solvent is expelled from the needle.

Hamilton GC Syringes with AS Point Style for Agilent 7693A Autosamplers have dual gauge 23s-26s (tapered) needles that provide the durability of a 23s-gauge needle as well as the ability of a 26s-gauge needle to perform split/splitless and on-column injections. These syringes do not have PTFE-tipped plungers. All have an AS point style that is a special conical style needle point used on autosampler syringes the non-coring needle point is recommended for septum penetration.

Photo of Hamilton 800 Series Microliter Syringes with Handle

Hamilton 800 Series Microliter Syringes with Handle are the reinforced plunger version of the original 700 series syringes. Attached to the flange of the syringe is a blue Syringe Holder. The Syringe Holder provides a spot to hold the syringe that will not heat up the barrel causing dispense inaccuracies. Additionally it provides support to small volume plungers that are prone to bending during injection. This series of syringes is ideal for dispensing volumes from 0.5 μL up to 250 μL. A variety of different terminations and needle options are available in this series.

Photo of Hamilton 900 Series Microliter Syringes

The Hamilton 900 Series Microliter syringe manufacturing process is the same as the 700 and 800 Series (S7905 & S7910) which incorporate a stainless steel plunger hand-lapped into a controlled barrel diameter. This series was developed with an extended metal sheathed borosilicate glass barrel and strengthened plunger stem which acts as a support guide for the extremely fragile, small diameter plungers. Maximum temperature for Cemented Needle is 50° C (122° F) and Removable Needle is 115° C (239° F).

The 1800 series syringes are the reinforced plunger version of the 1700 series syringes. Attached to the flange of the syringe is a blue Syringe Holder. The Syringe Holder provides a place to hold the syringe that will not heat up the barrel causing dispense inaccuracies.  Additionally it provides support to small volume plungers that are prone to bending during injections.  This series of syringes is ideal for dispensing volumes from 1µL up to 250µL.

Photo of Hamilton Series 1000 Gastight Syringes

Hamilton Series 1000 Gastight Syringes are a mid volume Gastight Syringe. They are ideal for dispensing both liquids and gases. They have a precision-machined PTFE plunger tip which creates a leak-free seal. With the tight fit, the tip essentially wipes the interior of the syringe barrel free of sample. This feature is particularly useful with heterogeneous samples as it reduces the chance that a deposit will occur and cause the plunger to freeze.

The Hamilton 1700 Series Gastight Syringes are the Gastight version of the original 700 series syringes. They are available in volumes from 10µl through 500µl. These syringes have precision-machined PTFE plunger tip that creates a leak-free seal. The plungers are replaceable. The 1700 Series Gastight syringes handle smaller volumes and are suitable to most applications requiring the handling of corrosive fluid transfers, pipetting, standards make-up, and dilutions. Maximum temperature for Cemented Needle is 50°C (122°F), Removable Needle, 115°C (239°F) and PTFE Luer Lock, 80°C (176°F).
