Wheaton Safety-Coated Bottles with Caps are coated with PVC-based plastisol. The strength, slip resistance and impact absorption qualities of the plastisol coating reduce potential breakage and help protect laboratory personnel handling hazardous materials. These bottles help meet OSHA requirements. The bottles are manufactured from soda-lime glass, which meets USP Type III standards and are not autoclavable. Metal foil liners are generally more resistant to organic solvents. Poly-Seal and polyethylene liners are for distilled water, analytical standards and reagents.

Same as B5042 except these bottles have a clear plastisol coating. If a bottle should break, the plastisol coating contains the contents as well as glass particles long enough to allow proper disposal. PTFE lined caps are attached.

These clear glass wide mouth bottles have a plastisol coating to reduce breakage. The Qorpak wide-mouth AC round bottle has a clear glass body, straight sides, an exterior safety coating, and a black phenolic cap with a vinyl-coated pulp-board liner. This lab bottle has a wide mouth for filling ease, and is used for liquid and sample storage.

Wheaton Safety-Coated Reagent Bottles with Marking Patch and PTFE Lined Caps feature a special no-drip pour lip which means safer, cleaner pouring. Wheaton "400" borosilicate glass protects from contamination and a rise in pH caused by alkali which can be extracted from ordinary glass. Polypropylene cap has a PTFE liner that provides a tight seal and protects the pouring surface from dust and dirt. The liner is snapped in place with the ability to rotate. The liner can be lifted rather than scraped across the lip of the bottle; this feature provides longer life for both liner and cap.
