Thermo Scientific Electric Bunsen heating mantles are corrosion-resistant and include easy-to-replace heating elements. Combines the advantages of a gas burner with the clean operation and easy control of electric heating. Radiation from the heater is directed upwards only, so the Bunsen burner is ideal for heating test tubes, crucibles, small flasks and beakers, independent of their shape. CMU metal-cased Electromantles are used in chemistry to heat liquids in round bottom flasks. They are ideal for busy laboratories with multiple users as they are very safe to use, the metal case being designed to remain cool when in operation. Additionally, they have a stainless steel grounded earth screen covering the element and are double-fused for added safety. In the event of any liquid spillage, the heating mantles automatically cut out to protect the user from electric shocks.

The Thermo Scientific CMU Uncontrolled Mantle features aluminum housing that is tough, chemical-resistant, lightweight and easy to clean. Available in multiple sizes and temperature ranges. Flexible coiled heating elements absorb shock and minimizing the risk of flasks breaking. The heating element is attached to a rigid thermal insulating cartridge to ensure maximum heat transfer and support. A unique airflow through ventilation slots beneath and around the rim and heating cartridge keep the exterior “cool-to-the-touch”. Controllers are sold separately.

Built-in temperature controller regulates temperatures from ambient to 450°C. The flexible heating element ensures minimum risk of flask breakage. Heating cartridge can be quickly and simply replaced.

The Series STM round bottom flask heating mantle is aluminum housed to provide strength and durability while supporting the weight of the vessel. Fabric interior to softly nest glass vessels and reduce the chance of thermal shock. Adaptable to most vessels including larger sizes. Withstands 600° C internal operating temperature and resists burnout. The STM Series can be adapted to special applications with custom sizes, bottom holes, and special electrical devices. The Series STM spherical flask mantle covers only the flask's bottom half, letting you see its full contents.

The Poncho Safety Shield covers a flask in a Series TM or STM mantle, greatly improving operating safety. Flammable liquids should be processed in Series STM mantles only if a Poncho Safety Shield is used and, in sizes 12-liter and larger, the mantle and Poncho can be purged with an inert gas such as argon.

The EMA series mantles combine the traditional Electrothermal heating elements with easily controlled solid state stirring. Outer housing is constructed of chemical resistant and resilient polypropylene minimizing damage from spillage. Vented case creates a unique airflow that allows housing to be safe to the touch when in use. Grounding screen provides additional safety should spillage or flask breakage occurs. Heating cartridge can be quickly and easily replaced in the event of failure. All mantles are double fused for added safety.

The Premier mantle comes with a built-in proportional power control for precise control of your operations and is equipped to accept external controls as well, making the Premier mantle a versatile addition to any laboratory. Designed with safety in mind, the Premier mantle has a spill-capture system that no other heating mantle can equal. This system includes: a removable and replaceable aluminum liner and a catch pan (in accordance with NFPA standard #45). These two features help capture spills so they can be easily and safely contained and removed.

The DigiTrol II is a PID microprocessor-based, user-selectable control mode temperature control. The control features a digital dual output display for set point and process temperature indication. Range is -200 to 1250 C. The automatic-tuning feature ensures increased temperature accuracy with minimum overshoot. Easy set-up and simple input commands make this control very "user friendly." Display is a dual, 4-digit LED. Set Point with Up/down keys. °F or °C display is user selectable. The load and the thermocouple receptacles are located on the front panel for easy accessibility.

The MantleMinder II is an automatic, time proportioning control used with heating mantles, tapes, cords, small ovens and other resistive heating loads up to 1,800W (120V) or 2,400W (240V). The load and the thermocouple receptacles are located on the front panel for easy accessibility. Temperature range is 0 to 750° C (+/-1.5%). Furnished with a type J immersion thermocouple with 6"-long stainless steel probe. The LimiTrol temperature limiting control provides a safety backup for laboratory heating processes. When installed between the primary power or temperature control and the power source, the LimiTrol allows for over-temperature limiting. The operator simply sets the LimiTrol to the maximum temperature for the process. Temperature range is 0 to 750° C (1,382° F).

The MiniTrol is manually adjusted with a percentage-dial design and no sensing element. It regulates mantles, tapes, and cords, as well as small furnaces, ovens, hot plates, dies, and other applications requiring stepless control. MiniTrol may also be used on any non-inductive loads to its rated capacity. It proportions the operating voltage to the load from 5-1/2% to 100% of the time according to the preset dial position. When turned off, it makes a positive break. For very small loads, smaller fuses may be used. PL3122 MiniTwin (H1620-2) handles two separate circuits.

The StirMantle adds electromagnetic stirring capability to the Series TM heating mantle for spherical flasks. Heating and stirring are independent; choose either or both. Temperture range: up to 752 F (400 C). Speed is easily adjusted by a single dial on the StirControl II (included). The StirControl II creates and synchronizes the magnetic field. When restarting , (as for removal and reinsertion of the flask). Glas-Col's exclusive "Synchrostart" feature maintains linkage between the field and the bar.
