Thermolyne's Controlled Atmosphere Furnaces are ideally suited for coal and coke ashing procedures. Two popular sizes to choose from. They also meet ASTM D3174 specifications: 3-4 air exchanges per minute. Heating rate of 8°C/min.- 500°C, 6°C/min. from 500°C to 750°C. Holds at 750 °C for two hours, then turns off. Choose from 3 temperature control models. B1: Digital single set point control with a single ramp to set point and a dwell. A single display shows actual temperature or set point.

This large chamber muffle furnace has heating elements that are located on top, bottom and sides of chamber for enhanced temperature uniformity. Triple the usable working area with two supplied accessory refractory shelves. Two built-in vent ports remove undesirable contaminants and moisture; extending the life span of the element and unit. The rear of the chamber incorporates a 0.38" (0.95 cm) diameter port for monitoring chamber temperatures with independent measuring devices. Critical electronic components and heating elements are protected by a 35-amp circuit breaker.

The Thermo Scientific Thermolyne Benchtop Muffle Furnace is ideal for general laboratory use, including gravimetric analysis, sintering, quantitative analysis and heat treating. It reaches a 1200°C maximum temperature and is available in two capacities for added flexibility. The built-in vent port removes contaminants and moisture to extend the life of the heating element and furnace. Open coil heating elements on both sides of chamber assure fast heat-up, with minimum temperature gradient.

These industrial benchtop muffle furnaces have heavy-duty firebrick insulation that surrounds the chamber opening for added durability. Embedded elements in special refractory cement permit excellent heat distribution in the chamber. Adjustable Alarm or Over Temperature Protection (OTP) setting can be used to protect the furnace or loaded chamber from excessive heat. Thermocouple break protection cuts power to the heating elements, prevents a thermocouple failure runaway condition.

Thermo Scientific controllers are designed to work with Lindberg/Blue M 1200°C split-hinge and 1500°C box furnaces. Fully wired with advanced microprocessor-based digital control, solid-state power module, on/off curcuit breaker and thermocouple input jacks for each zone. LED simultaneously displays actual temperature vs. setpoint in °C or °F. Three microprocessor-based PID controls, single segment, single setpoint, one ramp to set point.
